Meet Ms. Tallon, Third Grade Teacher Extraordinaire!
We’re thrilled to introduce Ms. Tallon, a passionate and dedicated third grade teacher who is working hard to make next school year unforgettable for her students. She’s currently raising funds to expand and enrich her classroom library and to purchase full class sets of novels for engaging and meaningful novel studies.
Her goal is to provide her students with access to diverse, high-quality books that inspire a love of reading, build comprehension skills, and open doors to new ideas and perspectives.

Manzanita Elementary had the pleasure of hosting Kingman’s very own Filipino kitchen, Kusina De Maynila and with two amazing Filipino teachers on board, the students learned all about the beautiful art of Filipino cuisine.
Not only did they get to taste some incredible dishes, but they also discovered the secrets behind how these delightful meals are prepared.

🎉 Last week was all about celebrating our amazing Special Education team during SPED Staff Appreciation Week! 🎉 We rolled out the red carpet for our incredible staff from ALL schools within our district with delicious treats, fun raffles, and some fabulous gifts.

Last week Manzanita Elementary hosted their Spring Carnival! 🎈🎡 The turnout was incredible, with families and students joining in on the fun! There were tons of games and awesome prizes to win, making it a blast for everyone! Plus, the Manzanita Band put on a fantastic show in the cafeteria!
Big shoutout to our amazing students at Manzanita Elementary! Last week, they celebrated those who nailed straight A's in Quarter 3 with a special pizza lunch alongside Principal Kimberly Ward! 🥳🍰 Each student enjoyed pizza, a drink, and a dessert as a reward for their hard work! 🌟👏 Huge congratulations to these dedicated achievers—your effort truly pays off!
Kingman Fire Department personnel visited 5th grade classrooms to teach the students emergency life-saving skills using tourniquets and gauze wraps to stop bleeding. They recieved some great hands-on practice for important skills!
Last week, Manzanita 5th graders shared their history projects with their friends and families. After several weeks of researching and writing, students created project boards to represent their topic from US History. It was an educational and fun evening for all! Thank you to everyone that came out to support our little historians!

It was an exciting day at Manzanita Elementary Trades Career Exploration! 🎉
The students got hands-on experience with a variety of work trucks that play a huge role in our trades industries 🚚💼. From big rig tow trucks to mini excavators, they were introduced to some incredible career paths.
A huge shoutout to our fantastic guest speakers who made this possible: Dom from City Towing, Shelvy from Able Crane, John and Kody from Patriot Emergency Roadside, and David from Mertens, with special thanks to Ms. Tuday for her support!

Manzanita Elementary had a special visitor come by to see the students! 🎅 The visit was a wonderful surprise, and the students couldn't contain their excitement as they told Santa Claus what they wanted for Christmas. 🎄
Today was an enjoyable day for everyone at Manzanita Elementary as they hosted their Marketplace! Students displayed an impressive variety of items, including tasty treats, handmade crafts, games, and toys! It was a meaningful learning experience for all participants, and everyone truly had a wonderful time.
Last week was exciting at Kingman Middle School! In the spirit of camaraderie, the school extended an invitation to Manzanita Elementary, welcoming them to come and join in on trick or treating right in their hallways. The KMS students and staff had a great time handing out candy in their fun costumes!
Manzanita Elementary School hosted their annual Fall Festival last Thursday. From superheroes to spooky ghouls, decorated trunks and games, everyone had a blast! 🎃 👻
Manzanita Elementary had an exciting day at their I.T. Career Exploration Day. Students sat in an assembly led by Mrs. Gelsinger. They listened to Mr. Zumwalt with Wecom Fiber as he provided them with fun facts about the internet and how it works.
The students were so amazed when Sgt. Burkhurt and SRO King with Kingman Police Department showed up with their Remotec Andros Robot. 🤖🤖 This robot allows the police to see, hear, and manipulate things without endangering humans!

Manzanita Elementary School continued their tradition of recognizing students who achieved a "highly proficient" or a perfect score on the AASA Spring State Assessments. The handprints of these students are displayed in the school hallway for everyone to admire!
