What We Do

Manzanita Elementary School serves all-day Kindergarten through 5th grade. We strive to provide all students with a friendly and encouraging study environment, rigorous academic curriculum offerings, and support services designed to meet the individual differences among our students. We offer self-contained accelerated/gifted classrooms in first through fifth grade and a magnet program for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Our History

Manzanita Elementary School was one of the first three elementary schools in Kingman. The home of the dragons opened in 1963 alongside La Senita and the renaming of Kingman Grammar School to Palo Christi Elementary School. All three schools were named after different species of desert flower. Manzanita is an evergreen shrub with orange and red bark.

However, Manzanita is currently the only school of the three still operating at full capacity. With such a long and illustrious history of exceptional education, Manzanita continues to strive toward excellence in all areas.
